Importing jpg colour problem

I'm importing jpgs into FCP7 and the colour is shifting (losing red/greenish cast)

They look perfect in the Finder but on importing to FCP the colour shifts dramatically (almost as if its been CMYK'd).

They were output from PS as Adobe RGB files.

I have rendered files. No difference.

I've tried fiddling with Gamma setting in Prefs. No difference.

I am not aware of 'switching on' any generic colour output in FCP that would cause this.

I cant seem to find any posts describing this problem or a fix, so advice gratefully very received! Thanks in advance.
